Hello, I’m Natalie.
As a freelance reporter and editor, I focus on stories around climate change, human rights, and politics. I'm interested in those human-centered stories that illustrate the big-picture issues shaping our world today. My work has appeared in TIME, The Guardian, BBC, Context, Grist, Mongabay, Hyphen, and many other outlets.
My investigative work has received grant support from Journalismfund Europe, Investigative Journalism for Europe, and the Magmatic School of Environmental Journalism where I’m currently a fellow focused on mining and extractive industries.
Prior to going freelance, I spent seven years as an editor and reporter at Devex where I reported on global health, the aid industry, and technology from across three continents. I also led editorial initiatives such as Generation Why and Building Back Health, and created the editorial content for over 100 events spanning the World Economic Forum in Davos and the UN General Assembly in New York.
I hold a BA in International Development and a MA in Journalism from the University of Barcelona and Columbia Journalism School.
Thank you for visiting my little corner of the World Wide Web.
